Biography
Bryan Stevenson is an American lawyer, social justice activist and law professor who has appeared as himself in several documentaries. He is the founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative and has contributed to films addressing racial inequality and the criminal justice system.
Stevenson appears as Self in the 2016 documentary 13th and the 2021 series Amend: The Fight for America. He served as executive producer and wrote the source memoir for the 2019 drama Just Mercy, in which his work is dramatised. He has also featured in other documentaries including True Justice: Bryan Stevenson's Fight for Equality (2019).
