Biography
Bud Yorkin was an American film and television producer, director, writer and actor. Born Alan David Yorkin on 22 February 1926 in Washington, Pennsylvania, he earned a degree in engineering from Carnegie Tech before entering television.
In 1963 he formed Tandem Productions with Norman Lear. The company produced the films Come Blow Your Horn (1963) and Start the Revolution Without Me (1970), and later the television series All in the Family, Maude, Good Times and Sanford and Son. Yorkin directed the films Divorce American Style (1967), Inspector Clouseau (1968) and Arthur 2: On the Rocks (1988). He co-executive produced the 1982 film Blade Runner.
Yorkin died on 18 August 2015 in Bel Air, Los Angeles. He was posthumously credited as a producer on Blade Runner 2049 (2017).
