Biography
Bulle Ogier, born Marie-France Thielland, is a French actress and screenwriter. She made her screen debut in the 1966 short film Voilà l'Ordre, directed by Jacques Baratier.
Ogier is known for her collaborations with directors including Jacques Rivette, on films such as L'Amour fou (1969), Céline and Julie Go Boating (1974) and Duelle (1976), and Luis Buñuel, for whom she played Florence in The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie (1972). She has also appeared in works by Marguerite Duras, Barbet Schroeder and others. She received the Prix Suzanne Bianchetti in 1972.
Ogier is married to director and producer Barbet Schroeder. Her daughter, the actress Pascale Ogier, died in 1984.
