Biography
Cal MacAninch is a Scottish actor. He was born on 24 November 1963 in Govan, Glasgow.
He is known for his role as DI John Keenan in the BBC police drama HolbyBlue (2007–2008). Other television appearances include Henry Lang in Downton Abbey (2011), Mr Thackeray in Mr Selfridge (2014–2015), Rowan Collins in Wild at Heart (2009–2010), Sergeant Timmins in Banished (2015), Ben Oakley in Vigil (2021) and Inspector Lee Robins in Trigger Point (2022). Film credits include Calibre (2018) and Dear Frankie (2004).
He is married to actress Shauna Macdonald.
