Biography
Cameron Brett Johnson, also credited as Cameron Brent Johnson and later Cameron B. Dupont, is a television writer. He has roots in Louisiana and Texas and holds an MFA in Writing for Screen & Television from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, where he received the Frank Volpe Endowed Scholarship. Prior to screenwriting, he conducted neuroscience research, with his undergraduate thesis published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology.
Johnson worked as a writers' assistant and showrunner's assistant on the series Yellowjackets (2021–). He received writing credits on two episodes of the show, including the season one episode 'Flight of the Bumblebee' (2022, co-written with Liz Phang). Earlier credits include writing on the 2018 miniseries Coventry and additional crew work on Designated Survivor (2019).
