Biography

Camilo Sanabria is a Colombian composer specialising in film and television scores. Born in Bogotá in 1975, he studied music with an emphasis on composition at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, and completed courses in film scoring at New York University and experimental music technology at Harvestworks.

He is known for his work on the Netflix series One Hundred Years of Solitude (2024), for which he received a Latin Grammy in 2025 for Best Music for Visual Media. His other credits include the films The Rye Horn (2023), They Carry Death (2021) and The Smiling Lombana (2018). Sanabria has won three Macondo Awards, two India Catalina Awards and two Cinespaña Awards, and has collaborated with directors across Latin America and Europe.
