Biography
Carl E. Guthrie (also credited as Carl Edward Guthrie or Carl Guthrie) was an American cinematographer. He was born on 15 October 1905 in St. Louis, Missouri, and died on 23 April 1967 in Los Angeles, California.
He began as an assistant cameraman, working on films such as Howard Hawks's Tiger Shark (1932). Guthrie served as director of photography on The Fugitive (1963) television series. His other credits include Christmas in Connecticut (1945), Caged (1950), House on Haunted Hill (1959) and Frankenstein 1970 (1958).
