Biography
Carleton Eastlake is a television writer and producer. He began his career in public policy and consumer protection law after graduating from UCLA and Harvard Law School, before entering television writing in the 1980s.
Eastlake wrote episodes for numerous series, including V (1985), Murder, She Wrote (1985), The Equalizer (1985–1987), Airwolf (1985), seaQuest DSV (1993–1996), The Outer Limits (1995–2002), Earth: Final Conflict (1997–1999), Star Trek: Voyager (2000) and Farscape (2001–2003). He also served as a producer or showrunner on several of these programmes and as an executive consultant on Farscape.
He has received shared Edgar and Saturn awards for his work on The Equalizer and Farscape respectively. Eastlake is a former board member of the Writers Guild of America West and past president of PEN Center USA. He is married to the novelist and screenwriter Loraine Despres.
