Biography
Carlito Rodriguez is a writer and producer. He wrote the episode 'Cairo' of the HBO series The Leftovers (2014), co-written with Curtis Gwinn. He contributed as a writer to 12 episodes of the Fox series Empire (2015–2019) and has held producing roles on the show across multiple seasons.
Rodriguez has worked across television, documentaries and media outlets including FOX, HBO, BET and MTV. Earlier credits include writing and producing hip-hop-related documentaries and town halls such as Hip Hop vs. America (2007–2008) and 50 Shots (2007). He has lectured at institutions including Harvard and Cornell.
