Biography

Carlo Cresto-Dina is an Italian film producer. He graduated cum laude in classical philology and Near East studies from the University of Turin and began his career as a freelance journalist and producer for radio and television. In 1999 he established the documentary and short film division at Fandango Films in Rome before founding the production company Tempesta, based in Bologna and London, in 2009.

Cresto-Dina has maintained a long collaboration with director Alice Rohrwacher, producing her features Corpo Celeste (2011), The Wonders (2014), Happy as Lazzaro (2018) and La Chimera (2023), as well as several shorts. He has also produced films by Leonardo Di Costanzo, including The Inner Cage (2021), Margherita Vicario’s Gloria! (2024), and other works by emerging European directors. He is the author of a book on the collective nature of filmmaking.
