Biography

Carlo Jachino (1887–1971) was an Italian actor and composer. Born in Sanremo, Liguria, he appeared in several films in the late 1940s, including as a beggar in Vittorio De Sica’s Bicycle Thieves (1948). His other acting credits include L'ebreo errante (1948), in which he played Muller, and Guarany (1950).

Jachino also worked as a composer, writing the score for Il figlio di d'Artagnan (1950). He had a long career teaching composition at conservatories in Parma, Naples and Rome, and served as director of the Naples Conservatory from 1950 to 1953.
