Biography
Carlos Blanco Vila is a Spanish actor born on 2 January 1959 in Vilagarcía de Arousa, Galicia. He has worked extensively in theatre as an actor, author and director, as well as in film, television and radio presenting.
He became known in Galicia for playing Ladislao in the TVG series Mareas Vivas, for which he also wrote scripts. His screen credits include Heroína (2005), Volver (2006) as Emilio, Dhogs (2017) and Fariña (2018) as Laureano Oubiña. He voiced the title character in the stop-motion film O Apóstolo (2012).
Blanco won the Premio Mestre Mateo for best supporting actor for his role in Heroína and received a further nomination for Dhogs.
