Biography
Carlos Ponce is a Puerto Rican actor, singer and television personality. Born on 4 September 1972 in Santurce, Puerto Rico, he began appearing in television commercials at the age of six. After his family moved to Miami, Florida, in 1986, he continued acting in school productions and won a scholarship to the New World School of the Arts conservatory before accepting a hosting role on the Univision show Hablando.
Ponce started his professional career in Spanish-language telenovelas and later appeared in American television series including 7th Heaven and Cristela. He played Mr Emilio Diaz in five episodes of Major Crimes (2012). His film credits include Couples Retreat (2009), Just My Luck (2006), Spy (2015) and voice roles in Rio (2011) and Ice Age: Collision Course (2016).
