Biography
Carlos Ramírez was a Colombian singer and actor. Born in Tocaima, he began his career performing on radio and in South American tours before moving to the United States.
He appeared in several MGM musical films of the 1940s, including Two Girls and a Sailor (1944), Bathing Beauty (1944), Anchors Aweigh (1945) as Carlos, Where Do We Go from Here? (1945) and Easy to Wed (1946). He provided the singing voice for The Great Poochini in the animated short Magical Maestro (1952). Ramírez also featured in later Spanish-language films such as Nadie lo sabrá (1953) and La gran obsesión (1955).
