Biography
Carly Paradis is a Canadian-British composer, songwriter and pianist. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, she began her career working with composer Clint Mansell, arranging and performing piano on the soundtrack for the 2009 film Moon. She later relocated to London, where she has composed scores for numerous British television series.
Her credits include the BBC series Line of Duty, for which she composed the theme and was BAFTA-nominated; Prime Suspect 1973 (2017); Sick Note (2017); The Innocents (2018); The Rising (2022); Until I Kill You (2024); and Get Millie Black (2024), for which she composed the score and main title theme. She has also scored the film Lady Chatterley's Lover (2015) and contributed to the anthology XX (2017).
Paradis has received awards including a Royal Television Society award and a Music + Sound Award for The Rising, and a Hollywood Music in Media Award for The Innocents. She has performed at the BBC Proms and toured as a keyboardist with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
