Biography
Carol Royle is an English actress. Born Carol Buchanan Royle on 10 February 1954 in Blackpool, Lancashire, she trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She made her screen debut in the 1970s series The Cedar Tree and appeared in early television roles including in Blake's 7 (1978) and The Professionals (1977).
Royle is known for her performances as Jenny Russell in the BBC sitcom Life Without George (1987–1989) and Lady Patricia Brewster in Heartbeat (1997–2003). She has appeared in series including Casualty, The Bill, Father Brown (2017) as Lady Ursula Lansford, Shakespeare & Hathaway - Private Investigators (2019) as Anastasia Kusk, and as Mrs. Bright in Endeavour (2019–2023). Her film credits include The Greek Tycoon (1978) and Tuxedo Warrior (1982).
She is the daughter of actor Derek Royle and the sister of actress Amanda Royle.
