Biography
Carol Winstead Wood is a production designer, art director and illustrator. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from North Carolina State University’s School of Design and a BFA from East Carolina University. She began her career as an illustrator on the feature film Touch and Go (1986) after working with the multimedia company Jim Sant Andrea Productions.
Wood has contributed to more than 25 films. Her production design credits include 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), Prefontaine (1997), Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (1997) and Dead Man on Campus (1998). Earlier art direction work includes Backdraft (1991), Frankie and Johnny (1991) and Little Monsters (1989). Her peers nominated her for a Production Design Award of Excellence for the pilot of the series Seven Days (1998).
