Biography
Caroline Silhol is a French actress and writer. Born in Paris on 10 August 1949, she began her career in the early 1970s with supporting roles in film and television, appearing in works by directors including François Truffaut and Alain Corneau.
On stage she has performed in productions such as Tartuffe and Les Parents terribles. She received three Molière Award nominations for Best Actress, in 1994, 2002 and 2005. Silhol is known for roles in Confidentially Yours (1983), All the Mornings of the World (1991) and as Marlene Dietrich in La Vie en Rose (2007). She wrote and starred in the 2000 film Half of Heaven.
She is married to film producer Jean-Louis Livi, nephew of actor Yves Montand.
