Biography
Cătălin Tolontan is a Romanian journalist and editor. He worked as a sports reporter and later as editor of publications including ProSport and Gazeta Sporturilor, where he led investigative reporting on sports and other topics.
Tolontan coordinated a team whose investigation into hospital infections following the 2015 Colectiv nightclub fire in Bucharest was featured in the 2019 documentary film Collective, directed by Alexander Nanau. He has since held editorial roles at Libertatea and, from 2024, as editorial director at Hotnews.ro.
