Biography

Caterina Scorsone is a Canadian actress. She is known for portraying neurosurgeon Dr. Amelia Shepherd on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy from 2010 onwards, as well as on its spin-offs Private Practice (2010–2013) and Station 19 (2020–2024).

Scorsone was born in Toronto, Ontario. She attended the Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts and studied at the University of Toronto, where she earned a degree in comparative literature and related subjects. Earlier roles include appearances in the Canadian series Power Play and the Lifetime series Missing (2003–2006), as well as the miniseries Alice (2009).
