Biography
Catherine Derry is a British cinematographer based in London and a member of the British Society of Cinematographers. She has more than 25 years of experience across features, high-end television drama, commercials, music videos and documentaries.
She began her career in motion control, progressing through the camera department to become a focus puller before establishing herself as a director of photography in the late 2000s. Her first feature was the BAFTA award-winning Junkhearts (2011).
Derry’s credits include the features Been So Long (2018), Choose or Die (2022) and A Christmas Number One (2021), and television series such as Industry (2020), The Great (2023), A Thousand Blows (2024) and Hostage (2025).
