Biography
Catherine Knapman is an Australian film producer and production manager. She began her career in the 1980s and 1990s with production management roles on Australian films including Around the World in Eighty Ways (1987, credited as Catherine Phillips Knapman), Harbour Beat (1990) and Blackrock (1997).
Knapman has worked extensively with director Baz Luhrmann. Her credits include co-producer and unit production manager on Moulin Rouge! (2001), producer on Australia (2008) and producer on The Great Gatsby (2013). She later served as executive producer on the 2023 television miniseries Faraway Downs.
She shared a 2014 AACTA Award for Best Film for The Great Gatsby.
