Biography
Catherine Schetina is a writer and producer working in film and television. She graduated from Scripps College in 2014 with a degree in English and a minor in religious studies.
She began in script coordination roles, including on Anne with an E (2018), before advancing to writing positions. Schetina has written episodes of The Bear (2022–2026), including “Ceres”, “Sundae” and “Napkins”, and held roles such as staff writer, story editor and executive story editor on the series. She has also written for Chucky (2023–2024) and contributed to the short films Welcome Home (2016) and Familial (2022).
Her original screenplay Pure topped the 2022 Black List. She is set to direct the project and serves as a producer and writer on the upcoming Netflix series The Body. Schetina has received Writers Guild of America nominations and wins as part of the The Bear writing team.
