Biography
Cathleen Delany was an Irish actress. Born Kathleen Delany in Dublin on 21 July 1907, she began her career as a singer and started acting in the early 1930s, later finding success at the Gate Theatre in Dublin.
She appeared in character roles in film and television. Delany is best known for playing Aunt Julia in John Huston's The Dead (1987). Other credits include The Snapper (1993) and an episode of Lovejoy (1993).
Delany died in Dublin on 19 June 1997.
