Biography
Cathy Belben is an American television writer. A native of Bellingham, Washington, she graduated from Bellingham High School in 1986 and earned a bachelor's degree in English from Washington State University. She obtained a degree in educational administration from Western Washington University in 1991 and worked as a high school teacher of English, Spanish, journalism and psychology, later serving as a librarian in Burlington, Washington, from 1999 to 2005.
In 2005 Belben relocated to Hollywood and joined the writing staff of the UPN series Veronica Mars, created by Rob Thomas. She received writing credits on three episodes of the second season, which aired in 2005 and 2006. She has also published short fiction and non-fiction in magazines and journals including Cicada, Bookmarks Magazine and School Library Journal.
