Biography
Cecilia Monti is an Argentine costume and set designer. She studied art history at the University of Buenos Aires, specialising in fine arts, and trained in painting, life drawing and scenography at workshops including those of Luis Felipe Noé and at the Saulo Benavente school. Her first film credit came at the age of fifteen on Fernando Solanas’s Sur (1988).
Monti has designed costumes for several films directed by Juan José Campanella, including Son of the Bride (2001), Moon of Avellaneda (2004), The Secret in Their Eyes (2009) and The Weasel’s Tale (2019). Other credits include Tetro (2009) directed by Francis Ford Coppola. She received the Konex Award for Costume Design in 2011.
She is married to director Juan José Campanella.
