Biography
Celso Bugallo was a Spanish actor from Galicia. Born in Vilalonga, Sanxenxo, he began his career in theatre in Logroño during the 1970s with independent groups, later returning to Galicia. He made his film debut at the age of 52 in José Luis Cuerda's Butterfly (1999).
Bugallo appeared in numerous films, including Fernando León de Aranoa's Mondays in the Sun (2002) as Amador and The Good Boss (2021) as Fortuna. He received the Goya Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as José in Alejandro Amenábar's The Sea Inside (2004) and was nominated again for The Good Boss. He also worked in television series such as Paco's Men and The Asunta Case.
Bugallo died in Pontevedra on 20 December 2025.
