Biography
Cezary Harasimowicz is a Polish screenwriter, playwright and actor. Born in Łódź in 1955, he completed actor training at the Polish Theatre in Wrocław in 1980 and a screenwriting course at the Łódź Film School in 1986. He also studied art history in London and Polish philology at the Catholic University of Lublin.
His screenplays include 300 Miles to Heaven (1989), which received the European Film Award for Young European Film, and Bandyta (1997), winner of the Hartley-Merrill International Screenwriting Award. Other credits encompass Daleko od okna (2000) and television series such as Ekstradycja. He has also written novels and radio plays, and is a member of the European Film Academy.
As an actor he appeared in Krzysztof Kieślowski's Dekalog (1989) and as the inspector in Three Colors: White (1994).
