Biography
Chad Charlie is an Afro-Indigenous writer, filmmaker, actor and comedian from the Ahousaht First Nation. A native of Seattle, he began his career in stand-up comedy and spoken word poetry in 2008 before moving into film and television.
He worked as a staff writer and story editor on the FX series Reservation Dogs (2022–2023), also appearing as the character Marc Don, and co-wrote the episodes "Roofing" and "Dig" with Sterlin Harjo. He has written for the Prime Video series Elle (2026) as executive story editor. His short films include Uuʔuu~tah (2019) and Firecracker Bullets (2022).
Charlie is a Film Independent Amplifier Fellow and has been selected for the Sundance Episodic Lab and imagineNATIVE Directors Lab. In 2025 he signed with Verve for representation.
