Biography
Chae Kyoung-sun is a South Korean production designer whose credits include the Netflix series Squid Game (2021–). She has worked on multiple films and series, often in collaboration with director Hwang Dong-hyuk.
Her film credits encompass Silenced (2011), Miss Granny (2014), The Fortress (2017), EXIT (2019) and Moving (2023). She also contributed to Hwayi: A Monster Boy (2013), Rampant (2018), Twenty (2015) and My Daughter Is a Zombie (2025).
Chae won the Art Directors Guild Award for Excellence in Production Design for Squid Game Season 1 in 2022 and again for Season 2 in 2025, as well as a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program.
