Biography
Chanda Dancy is an American film and television composer. She trained at Houston Baptist University and the USC Thornton School of Music’s Film Scoring Program, and attended the Sundance Composers Lab.
Dancy is known for her scores for Blink Twice (2024), Lawmen: Bass Reeves (2023), Devotion (2022) and Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody (2022). She received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series for Lawmen: Bass Reeves and was shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best Original Score for Devotion and Blink Twice.
