Biography
Charles Henry Smith was a writer and actor. He worked on the adaptation for the Buster Keaton film The General (1926), in which he also appeared as Annabelle's father. He received adaptation credit on Battling Butler (1926) and wrote for earlier films including The Silver Lining (1921) and Nobody (1921).
Smith was born in Germany in 1866 and died in Hollywood, California, in 1942. He immigrated to the United States in 1869 and was naturalised in 1894.
