Biography
Charles M. Lagola, also credited as Charlie Lagola, is an American production designer and art director. Born in 1959, he began working in the art department on feature films in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
He served as production designer on Abel Ferrara's Bad Lieutenant (1992), The Addiction (1995) and The Funeral (1996). Other film credits include Maniac Cop 2 (1990), The Feud (1990) and set design on Fried Green Tomatoes (1991). On television he has worked as production designer or art director on series including ER, The Practice, Justified, Sons of Anarchy and the pilot of American Horror Story, for which he received an Emmy nomination. He won an Art Directors Guild award for the television film George Wallace (1997).
