Biography
Charles Randolph is an American screenwriter and producer. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, he graduated from Yale Divinity School and worked as a professor of philosophy and cultural studies before entering screenwriting in the late 1990s following a chance meeting in Los Angeles.
His credits include the screenplays for The Life of David Gale (2003), The Interpreter (2005), Love & Other Drugs (2010), The Big Short (2015) and Bombshell (2019). He shared the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, as well as BAFTA, Writers Guild of America and Critics' Choice awards, for co-writing The Big Short with Adam McKay. He has also produced several of his projects and is married to actress Mili Avital.
