Biography
Charles Stone III (born 1966) is an American film and television director. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is the son of journalist and Tuskegee Airman Chuck Stone.
Stone is known for directing the feature films Drumline (2002), Paid in Full (2002) and Mr. 3000 (2004). He has also directed episodes of television series including Friday Night Lights (2006), black-ish (2014) and Superstore (2015), as well as later films such as Uncle Drew (2018) and The Underdoggs (2024).
He created the Budweiser 'Whassup?' advertising campaign and directed the music video 'What They Do' for The Roots.
