Biography
Charles Walters was an American film director and choreographer noted for his work on MGM musicals and comedies from the 1940s to the 1960s.
He began his career as a dancer and choreographer on Broadway before moving to MGM, where he staged dance sequences and later directed features. His directorial credits include Easter Parade (1948), The Barkleys of Broadway (1949), Lili (1953), High Society (1956), Please Don't Eat the Daisies (1960) and The Unsinkable Molly Brown (1964).
Walters received an Academy Award nomination for best director for Lili. He also directed Walk Don't Run (1966). He died in 1982.
