Biography
Charlie Heaton, also credited as Charlie Ross Heaton, is an English actor and musician. Born in Leeds in 1994, he began his career as a drummer in rock bands before moving into acting with small roles in British television series including Vera (2011) and DCI Banks (2015).
He gained recognition for his portrayal of Jonathan Byers in the Netflix series Stranger Things (2016–2025). He has also appeared in films such as Shut In (2016), As You Are (2016), Marrowbone (2017), The New Mutants (2020) and The Souvenir: Part II (2021). He has been in a relationship with actress Natalia Dyer since 2016.
