Biography
Charlie Rubin is an American television comedy writer, producer and humorist. He has written for series including The Carol Burnett Show, In Living Color, The Jon Stewart Show, Seinfeld and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and has also contributed to National Lampoon and Saturday Night Live.
Rubin attended the Horace Mann School and graduated from Williams College in 1972, where he co-founded the student newspaper The Williams Advocate. On Seinfeld he received writing credits in 1994 and 1995; he later served as supervising producer on Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2004 to 2009, writing ten episodes.
He is an associate professor at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in the Rita & Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing, where he created and runs the TV Writing Concentration.
