Biography
Charlotte de la Gournerie is a French film producer and co-owner of the animation studio Sun Creature. She graduated in 2013 from Gobelins, l'École de l'image, after earlier studies at the University of Rennes. She began her career with Animation Sans Frontières before moving to Denmark to work as a producer; in 2015 she became a partner at Sun Creature and in 2020 established Sun Creature France in Bordeaux.
She is best known for producing the animated documentary Flee (2021), which received Oscar nominations for Best Documentary Feature and Best Animated Feature. Other credits include the series The Reward: Tales of Alethrion (2015) and The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe (2017–2021). For Flee she won the Robert Award for Best Documentary Feature and was appointed Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2021.
