Biography
Charlotte Valandrey was a French actress and author. Born Anne-Charlotte Pascal in Paris, she took her professional name from the coastal town of Val-André in Brittany. She began her career with a leading role in the 1985 film Red Kiss, for which she received the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin International Film Festival and a César Award nomination for Most Promising Actress.
Valandrey appeared as Princess Sasha in Sally Potter's Orlando (1992). She had a long-running role as Myriam Cordier in the television series Les Cordier, juge et flic (1991–2000) and later appeared in Napoleon (2002) and Tomorrow Is Ours (2017–2019). In 2005 she published the autobiography L'Amour dans le sang, in which she discussed her HIV-positive status, diagnosed in 1986.
She was married to Arthur Le Caisne from 1999 until their divorce in 2005.
