Biography
Charly Hübner, born Carsten Johannes Marcus Hübner on 4 December 1972 in Neustrelitz, Germany, is a German actor. He trained at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin and worked in theatre until 2003, when he began appearing in film and television roles.
Hübner gained prominence with his supporting role as Udo in the 2006 film The Lives of Others. He has appeared in numerous films, including The Good Neighbour (2011) and Magical Mystery or: The Return of Karl Schmidt (2017), and is known for his long-running portrayal of detective Alexander Bukow in the television series Polizeiruf 110 from 2010 to 2022.
He is married to actress Lina Beckmann.
