Biography
Chayse Irvin is a Canadian cinematographer. He grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he began working in the film industry after studying locally. He later moved to Los Angeles and then New York.
Irvin's first feature as director of photography was Medeas (2013), for which he received the Best Cinematography Debut award at the Camerimage Film Festival. He has collaborated extensively with artist and director Kahlil Joseph on projects including the visual album Lemonade (2016) for Beyoncé. His other credits include Hannah (2017), BlacKkKlansman (2018), God's Creatures (2022) and Blonde (2022).
Irvin is a member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers and is based in Brooklyn, New York.
