Biography
Chhabi Biswas was an Indian actor. He played Biswambhar Roy in Satyajit Ray's The Music Room (1958).
Biswas was born on 12 July 1900 in Kolkata and died on 11 June 1962 following a car accident. He appeared in two further Ray films, Devi (1960) and Kanchenjungha (1962), and in Tapan Sinha's Kabuliwala (1957). He received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1960 and had earlier worked in amateur theatre and professional stage productions before entering cinema in the 1930s.
