Biography
Chieko Schrader (1950–2022) was a Japanese screenwriter and producer. She is credited with the Japanese script for Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985), on which she also served as associate producer, and wrote for The Killing of America (1981) and P. P. Rider (1983).
She was married to screenwriter Leonard Schrader from 1977 until his death in 2006 and was the sister-in-law of director Paul Schrader. Schrader collaborated with her husband and brother-in-law on the Mishima screenplay and worked as an on-set interpreter and translator during its production in Japan.
