Biography
Chloë Moss is an English playwright and screenwriter. She grew up in Liverpool and studied film at Manchester Metropolitan University before joining the Royal Court Young Writers programme.
Her stage plays include How Love Is Spelt (2004), Christmas Is Miles Away (2005), The Way Home (2006), This Wide Night (2008) and The Gatekeeper (2012). She won the Susan Smith Blackburn Playwriting Prize in 2009 for This Wide Night.
Moss began writing for television in the late 2000s. Her credits include episodes of Hollyoaks, Switch (2012), New Tricks (2014), Dickensian (2016), Marie Antoinette (2022) and Call the Midwife (2024–2025). She is a lecturer in playwriting at the University of Manchester.
