Biography
Chloe Smith is a New Zealand film and television producer. She began her career in the screen industry in 1983 as a production secretary after a chance meeting with producer Larry Parr, having previously trained as a scientist and worked in arts administration.
She progressed to roles as production manager and line producer on series including Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995) and Xena: Warrior Princess (1995), and later became a producer on Spartacus (2010–2013) and its spin-off Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (2011). Other credits include co-producer and line producer on The Power of the Dog (2021), producer on The Royal Treatment (2022), and work on Black Christmas (2019) and In Dark Places (2018).
Smith received a New Zealand Television Award for Best Feature Drama for In Dark Places and was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2026 for services to the screen industry.
