Biography

Chris Downey is a television writer and producer. A former criminal defence attorney in New York and reporter covering crime and government, he began his television career writing for half-hour comedies including Lateline, What About Joan and six seasons of The King of Queens.

Downey co-created the TNT caper series Leverage (2008–2012) with John Rogers. He has been an executive or co-executive producer on King & Maxwell, Suits, the Suits spin-off Pearson, Unsolved, Station 19, The Lincoln Lawyer, Poker Face (2023) and Bosch: Legacy. He has also written episodes for several of these series, as well as Almost Human and Incorporated.
