Biography
Chris Fowler is an American sports broadcaster who works primarily for ESPN and ABC. He serves as the play-by-play announcer for Saturday Night Football and ESPN's tennis coverage, and previously hosted College GameDay from 1990 to 2014.
He joined ESPN in 1986 and has covered college football, college basketball, horse racing and other events. Fowler has also appeared in films and television, including as himself in The Waterboy (1998) and as a TV sports commentator in Challengers (2024).
Born on 23 August 1962 in Denver, Colorado, he graduated from the University of Colorado in 1985. He has been married to Jennifer Dempster since 2006.
