Biography
Chris Silber is a German-American screenwriter, producer and filmmaker who works in both English and German. Often credited as Christoph Silber or Chris Martin Silber, he was born in Berlin in 1971 and raised bilingually between Berlin and London.
Silber collaborated on the screenplay for the 2003 comedy-drama Good Bye, Lenin!, which received Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations. His other film credits include the 2008 mountaineering drama North Face and the 2015 road movie I'm Off Then. He co-created and served as head writer on the Disney+/Hulu miniseries Sam - A Saxon (2023).
Silber has also written for German television series such as Tatort and received recognition including an International Emmy Award.
