Biography
Chris Tenzis is an American editor, filmmaker and actor. He studied at the British Film Institute, the London International Film School and the American Film Institute Conservatory. While in Chicago he received the Build Illinois Filmmakers Grant for his feature Some Guys, which premiered at the Chicago Underground Film Festival, and interned at Kartemquin Films during the completion of Hoop Dreams.
He began as an assistant editor at the Sundance Filmmakers Lab and Will Vinton Studios, and later edited episodes of the animated series The PJs (2001) and Gary & Mike. He has worked as a first assistant editor or assistant editor on May December (2023), Cassandro (2023), The Spider Within: A Spider-Verse Story (2023) and Fixed (2025), and is employed by Sony Pictures Animation.
As a director his short A Man and His Pants (2000) premiered at SXSW and won the audience award at the Northwest Film & Video Festival; Big Touch (2020) was screened at 150 festivals in thirty countries and won ten awards. He also appears as Aaron in May December (2023).
